Throughout its history, the movement promoted social programs, labor rights, and civic participation, including initiatives that expanded opportunities for women and young leaders in public life. These early efforts helped shape modern political and social engagement in Lebanon.

Founded in 1936 by Pierre Gemayel, the Kataeb movement has been part of Lebanon’s national story for nearly a century. What began as a youth-driven movement grew into a major force advocating for Lebanese sovereignty, civic engagement, and national identity.

Today, the Lebanese Kataeb Houston Chapter carries this legacy forward by strengthening connections within the diaspora. Through community activities, cultural initiatives, and outreach, we aim to reflect the values and resilience that have defined the movement for generations.

Our mission is to unite Lebanese-Americans in Houston through service, culture, and civic engagement. As part of the global movement connected to the Kataeb Party, we aim to inspire leadership, strengthen our diaspora, and ensure that future generations remain connected to Lebanon.

One of our priorities is empowering youth and young professionals to take active roles in their community. By encouraging leadership, cultural awareness, and civic responsibility, we help ensure that Lebanese identity continues to thrive across generations.

Our chapter organizes volunteer efforts, cultural programs, and humanitarian initiatives that support Lebanese families both locally and abroad. We also help members stay informed and engaged in civic processes that affect Lebanon and the diaspora.

The Lebanese Kataeb Houston Chapter brings together people who share a deep pride in their heritage and a lasting connection to Lebanon. Inspired by the values of God, Country, and Family, we work to build a strong and supportive community in Houston that celebrates identity, service, and unity across generations.

For many Lebanese living abroad, success should strengthen our connection to our roots, not weaken it. Our chapter encourages members to stay engaged with Lebanese culture, history, and traditions while contributing positively to the communities where we live.

Through gatherings, cultural celebrations, and community initiatives, we create opportunities for Lebanese-Americans to connect, support one another, and remain engaged with Lebanon’s future. Our goal is to keep the spirit of Lebanon alive within our growing Houston community.
