This special evening brought together an incredible turnout of Lebanese and Lebanese-American young adults right here in Houston. With the room packed primarily with energetic 20-to-35-year-olds, the gathering succeeded in its core mission: breaking the ice, sparking lifelong local friendships, and deepening a proud, shared sense of belonging to our beautiful motherland.

The Houston Kataeb Chapter of the Kataeb Expatriate Authority recently hosted a distinguished social heritage youth meeting: “Rooted in Lebanon, Connected in Houston.” Bringing together a vibrant group of Lebanese and Lebanese-American young adults (concentrated between the ages of 20 and 35), the evening focused on strengthening our shared cultural identity, building lifelong local friendships, and deepening our community's connection to the motherland. It highlighted a growing awareness among Lebanese youth abroad of their desire to preserve their heritage while contributing positively to their local Houston communities.
Bridging Generations
The atmosphere was alive with shared heritage. We were honored to welcome former heads of the Houston Department alongside members of its current committees and our local youth. This gathering beautifully demonstrated the continuity of our community’s commitment, fostering a powerful spirit of cooperation, unity, and multi-generational storytelling.
Shared Values & A System of Principles
In his keynote address, Comrade Khalil Bajani, Head of the Houston Kataeb Department, stressed the critical importance of investing in the next generation:
"Lebanon is not just a place on the map, it is a heritage, a culture, and a system of values that live within each one of us. Our responsibility is not limited to preserving this legacy, but extends to transmitting it with full force to future generations. The future of our society will be built through the friendships and bonds made by the new generation."
Bajani spoke with pride about Lebanon's ancient cultural history—touching upon its profound role in religious heritage, the enduring symbolism of the Cedars of Lebanon, and the historic Phoenician contribution of the alphabet that forever changed global communication. This meeting perfectly reflected the foundational principles of the party: faith, service, community work, and an unyielding commitment to Lebanon.
